Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 20, 2026
Resume StudioX is designed as a browser-first resume builder. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the site, how that information is used, and what choices you have. It is written for the current version of the app, which is primarily a static web application with local-first draft storage.
Information we collect
The app may process information that you enter directly into the builder, such as your name, contact details, resume content, work history, education, skills, projects, and links. That content is used to render previews, exports, and analysis inside the app.
We may also collect limited technical information automatically through normal website operation, such as browser type, device type, approximate region, pages visited, referring pages, and basic diagnostic or security log data, depending on the hosting environment and any analytics tools used on the deployed site.
Local storage and browser-side processing
The default experience of Resume StudioX keeps draft resume data in your browser using local storage so you can leave and return without losing progress. Selected category, chosen template, and current draft fields may be stored on your device for this purpose.
Because this storage happens in your browser, people with access to the same browser profile or device may be able to view that saved information.
How we use information
Information processed through the site may be used to provide and maintain the builder, restore saved drafts, generate resume previews and exported files, improve usability, monitor site performance, protect against abuse, and respond to support or legal requests where required.
When resume content is not uploaded by default
In the current local-first version of the app, resume content is not intentionally sent to an application backend as part of basic editing, preview, or standard export. If future features introduce server-side storage, authentication, AI APIs, analytics tied to user accounts, or shared links, this policy should be updated before those features are enabled in production.
Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
The site may use browser storage, cookies, or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, performance measurement, or analytics. If third-party analytics, advertising, chat, or embedded tools are added later, those providers may collect information according to their own policies and terms.
Third-party links and services
The site may include links to third-party websites such as portfolio pages, LinkedIn profiles, or external resources. If you follow a third-party link, your interactions with that destination are governed by the third party’s own privacy practices, not this policy.
Data sharing
We do not describe the current version of the app as selling resume draft content. Information may still be disclosed when necessary to comply with law, enforce terms, detect fraud or security incidents, protect rights and safety, or work with hosting, analytics, or infrastructure providers that support operation of the site.
Data retention
Locally stored resume data generally remains in your browser until you delete it, clear browser storage, or overwrite it with newer drafts. Server-side logs, analytics data, or support communications, if any, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for security, operational, legal, or business purposes.
Your choices and rights
You can usually clear locally saved draft data through your browser settings, remove downloaded files from your device, disable certain cookies in your browser, and choose not to provide optional information. Depending on where you live and how the site is operated, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about personal data processing, subject to applicable law.
Children’s privacy
Resume StudioX is not intended for children under 13, and the site is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact the site owner so appropriate steps can be taken.
Security
Reasonable steps may be taken to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no website, device, browser, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be fully secure, and you remain responsible for protecting the devices and accounts you use with the app.
International use
If you access the site from outside the country where it is operated, you understand that information may be processed or stored in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable law and the technical setup used to host the site.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the current version became effective.
